<p style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 40px; text-align: left; margin-bottom: 30px;">”就这样，“路桥”之名传开了清宣统二年（公元1910年）实行自治，大部属黄岩县路桥镇，东边小部分属新桥乡1949年4月，成立黄乐县人民政府，下辖路桥镇6月，成立黄岩县人民政府，属台州专区1951年3月土改时属新桥区，从保全乡分出设立洪湖乡、平桥乡；从新桥乡分出设立清陶乡、新民乡。</p>

<p style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 40px; text-align: left; margin-bottom: 30px;">域内有峰江乡、安溶乡、洪湖乡、清陶乡、保全乡、新民乡（小部）1954年6月，台州专区撤销，黄岩县划属温州专区1957年7月，复置台州专区，黄岩再属台州专区1958年12月，台州专区再度撤销，黄岩县又划归温州专区。</p>
<p style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 40px; text-align: left; margin-bottom: 30px;">1962年4月，恢复台州专区，属黄岩县1978年10月，改称台州地区，属黄岩县1989年10月，撤销黄岩县，置黄岩市，路桥仍属黄岩市1994年8月22日，国务院批准同意台州撤地设市设椒江、黄岩、路桥三区。</p>
<p style="font-size: 18px; line-height: 40px; text-align: left; margin-bottom: 30px;">路桥区辖原黄岩市的路桥、桐屿、峰江、新桥、横街、下梁、金清、篷街8个镇和螺洋、黄琅2个乡，区人民政府驻金水路1号2000年，路桥区辖4个街道、7个镇、1个乡2001年6月28日，浙政函112号批复同意撤销台州市路桥区黄琅乡扩大金清镇行政区域：撤销台州市路桥区黄琅乡，并入金清镇，辖35个村、7个居委会，驻地不变。</p>
